Several Town players will have breathed a sigh of relief after the final whistle at Stoke City on Saturday. Five first team squad members were on four yellow cards but, with the trip to the Britannia Stadium Town's last match in February, they no longer need to be concerned that a fifth will result in a one-game ban.

Another Jordan Rhodes goal took Town's reserves to their 11th straight league victory of the season against a determined Northampton side. The Cobblers provided far sterner opposition than many of the sides they have faced this season, most notably MK Dons, who were despatched 12-1 in the last home game.
